Hi, I'm Elaine Zbitniff (she/her) BN, MA, RCC, CCC

When we get a chance to meet and speak with one another, I hope that you feel truly heard, cared for, and safe in our time together. I am passionate about working with you at your own pace. I believe you are the expert of your own life. I strive to work collaboratively with you to assist you in achieving the lasting change(s) you are seeking for yourself.

I work with individuals (age 18+), couples, and families. Individual Therapy offers a one-on-one opportunity to explore your story, build self-awareness, and find healing in a safe and supportive space. Family Therapy provides space for reconnection, clarity, and healing among loved ones. Couples Therapy can help restore communication, trust, and intimacy in your relationship.

My undergraduate degree in nursing has deeply informed my approach to therapy. I’ve worked with patients on a burns unit and as a hospice nurse. Both experiences taught me the importance of presence, empathy, and holistic care. This background helps me view the person as a whole - mind, body, and spirit.

As a holistic therapist, my approach to therapy is relational, integrative, and grounded in compassion. I believe in the profound healing power of connection—being emotionally supported, truly heard, and seen with care. These elements are essential to both our mental and physical well-being. I bring this philosophy into every session, whether it's Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, or Couples Therapy.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University and am both a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I am also a lifelong learner, continually engaging in professional development to offer the most effective support possible. My training includes trauma-informed approaches, EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is especially beneficial in Individual, Family & Couples Therapy.

My mission is to shine a light on your inner strengths and guide you in reconnecting with your values, your purpose, and the people who matter most. Whether you are seeking support as an individual, navigating relationship challenges, or healing as a family, I am here to walk alongside you.

On a personal note:

When I’m not in session, I love spending time in nature with family and friends. I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. To relax, you’ll often find me curled up with a cup of spring jasmine green tea, a good psychological read, and my cats snuggled close by.
