Trauma Focused Therapy

My counselling services are grounded in a relational, attachment-based, and trauma-informed lens. As a trauma therapist, I believe that true healing happens in the presence of safety, compassion, and connection.

We all have the capacity to heal and grow, especially when we’re given the opportunity to slow down and tune into our thoughts, bodies, and emotions with care. With curiosity, self-compassion, and the supportive presence of a skilled therapist, meaningful change becomes possible.

As an EMDR Therapist, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. EMDR works differently from traditional talk therapy, it taps into the brain’s natural ability to reprocess painful memories in a way that’s less overwhelming and more integrative. It’s especially powerful in Trauma Focused Therapy, as it can bring deep relief from anxiety, emotional distress, and past wounds.

In addition to EMDR, I also integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method techniques for couples. These approaches are rooted in attachment science and help partners build connection, restore trust, and communicate more effectively. Whether you’re in need of support as an individual or working to heal within a relationship, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs.
